Case Study: WWF WRAP Project – Advancing Nature-Based Solutions in Northern Pakistan
Project Overview
The WWF WRAP Project – Advancing Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) in Northern Pakistan is an initiative led by WWF-Pakistan under the Water Resilience in Asian Cities (WRAP) program, implemented in Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in partnership with Entertech Labs (Private) Limited. The project focuses on strengthening climate resilience by promoting Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) as sustainable approaches to address water, environmental, and climate challenges in mountainous regions.
Entertech Labs played a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and documentation of capacity-building trainings and stakeholder engagements. The project emphasized knowledge transfer, institutional strengthening, and effective communication to integrate NbS into regional development and climate strategies
Project Objective
- Strengthen institutional capacity to integrate Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) into climate resilience and water management strategies.
- Raise awareness among government, academia, and communities on the importance and application of NbS.

Captured success stories, photographs, and feedback for WWF’s Annual WRAP Report, highlighting the knowledge transferred, on-ground demonstrations, and the potential for NbS mainstreaming in northern Pakistan.
